About Clarks HIll, SC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The town of Clarks Hill, SC is best known for its lakefront fun. Thurmond Lake is the largest U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project east of the Mississippi River, and is enjoyed by civilians every single day, as well. It was built between 1946 and 1954 as part of a complete plan of expansion for the Savannah River Basin. Serving about 5.5 million tourists and visitors each year, the lake offers camping, boating, fishing, hunting, and trails.

Baker Creek State Park and Hickory Knob State Park are both situated on the shoreline of Thurmond Lake. Operated seasonally (closed October to February), Baker Creek State Park is beautiful, and serene.  It accommodates those who want to boat Lake Thurmond, mountain bike on trails or want to set up a camp for a day or two. A large sheltered pavilion overlooks the lake and you will often see wedding receptions, family reunions and more inside of the structure. Tucked away in the peaceful woods surrounding the lake, the park operates an 18-hole championship golf course, full-service restaurant, skeet shooting area, boat ramp, archery range, meeting facilities and over 70 lodge rooms for overnight stays.   The weather is nice enough for the outdoors year-round, so if you are in the area in the months that Baker Creek is closed, be sure to check out Hickory Knob.

If you love the water and golf, then you must not miss Augusta!  Just a short drive from Clarks Hill, you will find yourself in the historic and stunning iconic Georgian city.  It is known, of course, for its annual golf tournament.  But, it is also a historian’s dream with huge pre-Civil War mansions and buildings that have to be seen to be believed. In addition, it is situated along the Savannah River and the town’s Riverwalk allows year-round access to strolls along the stunning waterway.  The weather is always beautiful in this part of the world and you will love being outdoors and taking in the botany, plant life, animals, wildlife and more.
